I provide a sports photography service that focuses on a journalistic approach to documentary. This means capturing beyond goals and points. It means capturing the faces of players during warm-ups, the sense of the player anticipating their opponents next move, the angles in a routine. I want to give teams and individuals the means to express their identities and personalities through photoshoots for social media and website assets to covering unrelated team-building activities and training.

Starting out as a digital creator collaborating with many types of talent from fashion designers to animation studios, I became fond of exploring niche, often undocumented activities and delving into learning new media techniques to truly capture the essence of the identities that come from them.
As someone from Sheffield, I have other the years heard about our 'steel city' identity because of our industrial history. Now we're building the future, with renovations in the City Centre, countless businesses opening their doors and long-term investments from universities.
However, the most exciting thing for me happens to be one that you only know if you know. Did you know the old Park Community Arena is now one of the most advanced sports medical facilities in the UK? And that we now have a talent pathways system for young to professional Ice Hockey players? That we host national Ball Hockey tournaments and GB tryouts? Not to mention in 2026 we're hosting an international Figure Skating competition.
Beyond the occasional headline, I didn't know all this until I went out of my way and did further research. There's a role for people of the media to play in marketing all sports and most importantly breaking down barriers that stop people from participating in sports. Whether that be not knowing about the variety of sports we actually have in the UK, or now knowing about programmes that help with the finances for equipment, travel and training fees or even inequality. Growth comes from covering a variety of sports, played by a variety of people at a variety of levels - marketing role models, opportunities and educating about the benefits.
It's a long road, but we're working on it.
